Partners of Dyrdek Machine Portfolio company Momentous Jimmy Chin and Alex Honnold won big last night at the 91st Academy Awards. Their documentary Free Solo – the masterpiece that captures Honnold as the first ever climber of Yosemite’s El Capitan, took home the Documentary Feature Oscar!
As Chin was in complete shock of the honor, Documentary Filmmaker E.Chai Vasarhelyi joyously spoke, thanking NatGeo first and foremost for their support and Honnold especially for being such an inspiration to all. She added, “This film is for everyone who believes in the Impossible.”
